Why PilatiBarre created these CEU courses
Earning CEUs should be more than checking a box—it should enhance your skills, strengthen your own body, and improve how you serve your patients and clients. That belief is what shaped the creation of PilatiBarre’s CEU courses.
As a professional dancer for over 30 years and a Pilates instructor for more than 25, I have seen how movement transforms recovery. After a traumatic brain injury that left me hospitalized, I turned to Pilates as part of my rehabilitation. I began with the fundamentals—breath work and core activation through The Hundred—to reconnect my mind and body. As my strength returned, I introduced Roll Ups and Single Leg Stretch to improve core control and spinal mobility. Eventually, I progressed to more dynamic exercises like Open Leg Rocker, Swimming, and Teaser to challenge balance, coordination, and overall resilience.
Within weeks, this gradual progression gave me the strength, balance, and confidence to return to teaching and performing. That personal journey confirmed what research and clinical practice have long supported: Pilates builds resilience and restores function.
PilatiBarre’s Home Study and On-Site Workshops are therefore state-approved for Physical Therapists, Nurses, and Occupational Therapists—because I wanted to design courses that combine professional rigor with practical, real-world value. Through Pilates, you’ll gain methods that improve stability, functional movement patterns, and recovery strategies—skills that benefit both your patients and your own well-being as a healthcare professional.
